Eligibility Criteria

For NCC ‘C’ Certificate Holders:

Educational Qualification:

  • Graduate Degree from a recognized University
  • Applicants studying in final year are also allowed to apply provided they complete and obtain Graduation Degree before commencement of course (October 2026)
  • For final year candidates, the aggregate percentage scored in first two/three years of three/four year degree course respectively will be considered for shortlisting
  • Candidates must submit proof of passing Graduation Degree examination along with all marksheets by 01 October 2026 to Directorate General of Recruiting

NCC Service Requirements:

  • Should have served for minimum two/three years (as applicable) in Senior Division/Wing of NCC
  • Should have obtained minimum of ‘B’ Grade in ‘C’ Certificate Exam of NCC
  • Applicants who do not hold NCC ‘C’ Certificate or Provisional NCC ‘C’ Certificate on date of application are not eligible to apply
  • Candidates holding Provisional NCC Certificate must obtain NCC ‘C’ Certificate before appearing in SSB
  • Provisional NCC ‘C’ Certificate will not be accepted at SSB

For Wards of Battle Casualties of Indian Army Personnel:

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Wards (unmarried sons and unmarried daughters including legally adopted) of Army Battle casualties specified as:
    • Killed in action
    • Died of wound or injuries (Other than self-inflicted)
    • Wounded or Injured (Other than self-inflicted)
    • Missing, presumed dead
  • Educational Qualification: Same as NCC candidates (Graduate Degree)
  • NCC ‘C’ certificate NOT required for Wards of Battle Casualties

  • The ‘Battle Casualty’ certificate Number issued by Manpower (Policy & Planning) Directorate (MP Dte)
  • A copy of Manpower (Policy & Planning) Directorate/Respective Regimental Records Part II Order Number
  • Relationship Certificate No issued by Manpower (Policy & Planning) Directorate 5 & 6 / Respective Regimental Records

Nationality:

  • A citizen of India, OR
  • A subject of Nepal, OR
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and East African countries with the intention of permanently settling in India

Age Limit

  • Age Limit: 19 to 25 years as on 01 July 2026
  • Date of Birth: Born not earlier than 02 July 2001 and not later than 01 July 2007 (both dates inclusive)

After reading the instruction, fill out the online registration form carefully
After registration, log in and click on ‘Apply online’ at the bottom of the dashboard
A page with’ Officer Selection – Eligibility ‘ will open
Click on ‘Apply’ appearing in front of Short Service Commission NCC Special Entry course
Fill the application form carefully with the correct personal, educational and contact details
Fill in the details in different sections: Personal Information, Communication details, education details, and previous SSB details
Click on ‘Save and continue’ each time before moving to the next section
Carefully review all the details in the ‘summary of your information’ page
Click ‘submit’ only after checking all your details are correct
Take out two copies of the application with the roll number 30 minutes after the final closing of the online application
No changes can be made after submitting, so verify all information carefully
Necessary instructions:

Candidates will only have to submit an online application. If multiple applications are received from the same candidate, the candidature will be rejected.
Date of birth, candidate name and parents name must exactly match the Matriculation/Secondary School Examination Certificate.
CGPA / grade should be converted to marks as per the respective university formula.
Candidates studying in the final year note that after completion, the total marks should be equal to or greater than the marks of the first two/three years.
Directorate General recruiting does not need to send any hard copies.
Candidates working in the Indian Armed Force write to their commanding officer.
Documents required for SSB Interview (original + self-attested copy):
Print the signed application with self-attested photos.
Matriculation / Secondary School Examination Certificate and mark sheet.
12th Class certificate and mark sheet. Graduation degree / provisional degree (should not be more than 6 months old while joining the Academy).
Marksheet of all years/semesters.
NCC ‘ C ‘ certificate (not required for wards of Battle Casualties)
Certificate to convert CGPA to marks (if applicable)
Principal / headmaster’s certificate stating that the candidate is in the final year (for final year students)
Declaration for Final Year candidates
Battle casualty document (for words of Battle Casualties)
